I came in for a Sunday brunch around 9, about an hour after opening. Despite there being some tables open, I couldn't snag any of them due to them being held for reservations. However, I did manage to immediately grab a seat at the bar. I ordered the classic Dutch baby pancake with a side of bacon and a small orange juice. It took roughly 15-20 minutes for my food to come out, but that was expected. If ordering a Dutch Baby, it even says on the menu to expect to wait roughly that long, as it takes a while to cook. When it came out, it was extremely hot, sitting in its cast iron skillet. Being that it was my first Dutch baby pancake ever, I didn't know what to expect. The batter developed a nice crust on the bottom that was able to hold the rest of the batter within. The crust almost reminded me of a puff-pastry in terms of texture. And the custard-y middle was very light - much to my delight. I was expecting a stronger lemon flavor upon my first bite, but that was quickly remediated by sprinkling lemon juice onto the whole thing. The maple syrup that came with it provided some much needed sweetness, and it was very delicious when combining everything together. The bacon strips, though a bit pricey ($4 for 3 strips), were very delicious. The bacon wasn't greasy at all and was super crispy. The saltiness complimented my Dutch baby well. The staff were super nice. I wasn't in a very talkative mood that morning, and so they left me be once I got my food. However, I did notice that they seemed super outgoing with other diners willing to make conversation. Being in Belltown so close to the Space Needle, parking is limited to street parking with a few private lots nearby. Luckily, I can bus downtown pretty easily, but if I had to drive, I imagine it'd be tough to find cheap parking spots. A very solid brunch spot. I paid about $22 for my entire meal, but for brunch, I think that's okay. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to come back - there was some other menu items that looked very good.
The wild mushroom benedict was one of the best I've ever had and the sweet Dutch baby was absolutely delicious.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading to Space Needle (about a 5 min walk away) Not sure if it's me being from NYC but felt like it took quite some time for the server to even acknowledge us and we were sitting at the bar. I was avoiding eggs since I'd eaten so many in the past few days but choices were very limited and we were not looking to stay very long so I didn't want to wait 25 minutes for the Dutch Baby. I ordered the homemade sausage with a side of bread and Nutella. My friend got the special of Tomato Soup and Turkey sandwich. Quick meal right? We actually waited longer than if I ordered the DB   The sausage was delicious and so was the bread. My friend enjoyed her meal as well. I tasted the soup and it was very good.
