After enjoying Central Park, it may be a good idea to visit this restaurant. The menu of Japanese cuisine under the direction of the great chef is gorgeous here. The chef at Tokie's cooks good nigiri, shrimp tempura and teriyaki salmon. Nothing can be better than eating perfectly cooked ice cream and tasty flans. It is cool to enjoy delicious beer. Great tea is among the most popular drinks at this place.

This spot is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Attractive prices are what you will pay for your meal. There is a nice atmosphere and divine decor at this restaurant. On Yelp, Tokie's is rated 4.

I remember eating at Tokie's at Foster city many many years ago and my recollection was it was a very high-quality sushi place. Their new location in San Mateo left me unimpressed. The quality of the sushi was not what I expected just more average. They did have a couple good nigiri such as the blue fin tuna was decent but many of the others were not such as the albacore wasn't that fresh the wagu nigiri was nice but not worth the price and a bit over seasoned so you could not really tell how fresh and what quality the wagu really was, the other nigiri's we had were similar being more of a six out of 10 stars just kind of average. We ordered all of premium nigiri's that were the most expensive on the menu and our dinner for two was something around $250 and was definitely not worth the money. For that kind of money I was expecting something similar to Amami sushi or at least SUSHI SAMS. For San Mateo SUSHI, SUSHI SAMS is still much better than Tokie's
Great food and friendly serve. It's really busy and they don't take reservations so be ready to wait for a table at dinner time. The fresh fish and specialty rolls are worth the wait
We went to Tokie's all the time back when it was in Foster City and it's new location has not changed our love for the Sushi. It's a little more trendy but the additional space is welcome. We love there Diane roll and Ronnie roll. Expect a wait but it's well worth it!
