If you are looking for a yummy, quick breakfast as you are traveling on HWy 55 near Divernon, IL try Toni's Cafe and support a local business. Leave IHOP or Bob Evan's for another day. This is better. It is a truck stop, not much on ambiance, but the service was full of home town charm. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the food was like mom's cooking. I got Mom's Special with 2 plate-size pancakes, an egg, and 2 bacon. I could have gotten sausage links instead. I got a side of hash brown, because they are the ruler of a good breakfast place to me. If you can get a good crunch on the outside, but keep the inside, creamy, it's a win and Toni's has it down. Plus, their bacon was smoky, which was a pleasant surprise.
