This place was highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. I recommend booking ahead of time if you want to eat inside as it fills up quickly but we were lucky enough to walk up as people were leaving and opted to eat outside. Our order was taken very quickly and our drinks came out fast as well. The food took a little longer but it was worth the wait. I ordered the Große Frühstück which I strongly recommend if you are looking for a heavily based cheese and meat breakfast. Unfortunately my meal came and it was missing the egg that it came with but once flagged to the waiter it was brought out rather quickly. I would come back again for the food and the atmosphere but do be aware if you are in a time crunch you may need to flag down the waiter as they do have many other tables to tend to. Overall we had a lovely Saturday bunch here and would come again.

Trachtenvogl offers hot apple ciders (spiked or not) and about a dozen different types of hot chocolates (also has the spiked option). Both were sufficiently sweet and warm to warm up our cores after a rainy and cold day in Munich. The interior is also very homey with mismatched furniture and the candles provide a soft glow to the rooms. But the windows are wide and open, and I can see how much natural light would flood the rooms during drier days.
