Head to the back of the restaurant. A booth is the way to go. There were 4 people who wanted to try everything. We did. We ordered a bunch of small plates to share. From beginning to end .....rave reviews from all. We even ordered food to go. Including 3 drinks and dessert we ended up with a bill that was incredible. 4 people before drinks and takeout was about 85.00 plus tax . Really good food really reasonably priced. Great service. Good wine and great expresso martini! Definitely will be a repeat customer.

Solid food, but tough if you have a stroller. Was walking around downtown with my family when we happened upon this place. We were starving and comes from an area with strong Mediterranean food, so decided to give it a go. Had a hell of time finding a way up with a stroller as the elevator entrance was located in steakhouse that this place shares space with.  The place itself is definitely has a high-end and intimate feel.  The food portions, quality and price were reasonable.  More of a date place than something for a family, IMO.  That said; a solid joint.

We had dinner at Truva Turkish Kitchen and I thought the food and service were A-OK. The food was pricey for what we got, but this is a nicer sit-down restaurant in downtown so we were paying for more than just the food. For Dragon Con goers, I do think this place is worth checking out if you like Mediterranean cuisine. It hit the spot for us. Truva has been around for at least a decade. It opened in 2009, I believe. It's been a fixture in downtown Atlanta dining, adjacent to Peachtree Center, and central to the Dragon Con host hotels. We tried to get dinner here during Dragon Con 2018, but left because of the long wait. We tried again in 2019 and were initially told the wait was one hour. However, the hostess said it would be more like 45 minutes because the computer overestimates sometimes. Our true wait time turned out to only be about 15 minutes on a busy Friday night. They texted us when our table was ready. This restaurant sits on the corner of Andrew Young International Blvd NE and Peachtree Center Ave NE. It shares a building with Cuts Steakhouse. Cuts is on the first floor and Truva is on the second. A pay parking lot surrounds the building. Truva has a bar up front and the dining room has a sort of lavish design. Larger groups sit around tables on cushioned benches. There are cozy, semi-circle, button booths for smaller groups as well as pillowed banquette seating along a wall decorated with giant images of belly dancers. And yes, they have live belly dance performances here. Definitely a more refined and "elevated" ambiance here. While this is a Turkish restaurant, a lot of the menu items can be found at various Greek and Mediterranean restaurants around town. The dinner menu featured soups and salads (starting at $6-9 each), hot and cold meze (apps, $7-12), charbroiled kebabs ($19-26), vegetarian entrees like stuffed eggplant ($14) and vegetable moussaka ($16), entrees such as braised lamb shank ($30) and lamb chops ($32), and desserts like baklava ($6). There are a few Turkish-specific items such as saksuka (Turkish-style eggplant ratatouille, $7) and sam bali (or basbousa, a Turkish warm semolina sweet cake, $8). We tried the following: Cold apps: * Babaganoush ($7) - house-made roasted eggplant dip with warm fresh-made bread * Classic hummus ($7) - traditional chickpea puree and extra virgin olive oil with warm fresh-made bread Mixed kebab platter for four ($98): * Traditional doner kebab - traditional carved marinated lamb and beef * Chicken breast - organic chicken breast marinated in extra virgin olive oil, onion, garlic, and fresh herbs * Lamb Adana - traditional hand-chopped lamb with red bell pepper and paprika * Beef tenderloin - tenderloin marinated in olive oil, fresh black pepper, and shallots * All kebabs served with Turkish rice, green salad, grilled tomatoes and peppers Overall, I thought the food was fine. Some items were better than others. My favorites were the babaganoush, traditional doner kebab, and lamb adana. The banaganoush was fresh and flavorful. It had great, appetizing texture and a wonderful smoky taste. I recommend it. The hummus was OK. I've had better. It tasted a bit dry and pasty. I prefer my hummus to be smoother and be made/come with more olive oil. Both the babaganoush and hummus each came with one slice of raw carrot, one slice of raw cucumber, a single olive, and a bit of parsley. They were eaten with complimentary bread served with olive oil and seasonings. The bread was served hot/warm, fresh out the oven. It was thick, fluffy, and soft. The traditional doner kebab was pretty much like gyro meat. It was soft and savory. The lamb Adana, named after the Turkish city, is a ground lamb kebab. This kebab had good consistency and was full of flavor. It was rich. There was a nice amount of fat, but not too much (not too greasy), and no gaminess. It tasted similar to a well-seasoned, somewhat juicy, and satisfying hamburger patty. I wasn't as big a fan of the chicken breast and beef tenderloin kebabs. Compared to the traditional doner and lamb Adana kebabs, they both seemed drier and tougher. The chicken had decent flavoring on the outside, but some chunks were straight up burnt, almost completely black on the outside (they tasted burnt too). The beef fared better than the chicken, but still, more chewy than I would have liked. The seasoning was fine though. An older gentleman, Efe, was our server and he did good job. He was friendly and attentive. Our orders came out fast despite the restaurant being at full capacity. Service-wise, they were prepared and on top of their game during a busy night.
