This is the best place near Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Spanish cuisine under the direction of the great chef is wonderful at this place. Ordering perfectly cooked pintxos, monkfish and ribeye is a pleasant experience here. Guests may order tasty fruitcake at this bar.
The convenient location of Restaurante Txio makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. Get your meal started with delicious wine or good beer. Visitors don't like cortado at this place. The hospitable staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Prompt service is something that people highlight in their comments. We were having a menu last Monday. We went because we found the place very attractive and we had had something to drink, several times at the bar mid-morning. We were attracted to eat there. My partner had potatoes in green sauce, Moorish skewers on a plate and torrijas, a glass of red wine accompanied the menu. For my part, I had a salad with nuts, cod and carrot cake, accompanied by a glass of light wine and a bottle of water that I shared with my partner. I have to say that although the service lacked a professional level, the food was to our liking and the stay, in a semi-empty place, was also comfortable. As a negative point I have to say that we were denied tap water served in a jug or glass bottle, which we asked for at the service. I believe that there is legislation currently that requires serving it to the client whenever they demand it. We leave thirsty for food since we are not willing to continue contaminating the planet with so much unnecessary plastic.
