I dined at Uzbegim Halal Restaurant and wanted to share my honest experience. The restaurant itself is in a sweet location near Centennial Park, and I loved the idea of patio dining. However, there were no fans outside, and even on a pleasant spring day, everyone at our table felt quite hot. Adding fans would make the patio far more comfortable for guests. The service was just okay. No one came by to check whether the food was cooked properly or if we were satisfied, and our water glasses were never refilled throughout the meal. As for the food — unfortunately, it was very disappointing. All of the skewers we ordered were overcooked. The chicken skewers were mostly skin and fat, and once those pieces were removed, there was barely any actual chicken left. The liver skewers were extremely dry and hard. The pilaf itself was overly oily, although the meat served with it was good. The stuffed grape leaves, cabbage, and peppers lacked flavor and seemed to be mostly packed with ground meat without much seasoning or depth. The soup was decent, but nothing memorable enough to return for. To be honest, the marketing for this place feels much stronger than the actual dining experience. I also did not love the checkout process at the register afterward. I was not given an itemized receipt, and the total ended up being extremely high for the quality of the meal we received. I do not mind paying hundreds for a truly delicious and memorable dining experience, but this meal felt far from worth the price. Sadly, I will not be returning. However, if you decide to give it a try, I genuinely hope improvements have been made and that your experience is much better than ours was. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in
