Having seen Reykjavik Art Museum Asmundarsafn, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. VOX Brasserie & Bar is famous for providing Scandinavian cuisine. It's time to try perfectly cooked caviar, flounder and fish & chips. The chef at this place cooks good ice cream, crepes and lemon pie. It is cool to enjoy delicious wine, beer or liqueur. Some clients like great tea, americano or fresh juices at this spot.
The cosy atmosphere of this restaurant makes visitors feel relaxed and have a nice time. The courteous staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The presentation of the food was amazing. The taste was mediocre. The service was odd. My father ordered the light plate of Arctic Char. He requested no sauce as he just wanted to taste the fish. He was told he could not order it as a meal because it was only two small bites. He reassured the waitress that a very small amount of food was fine as he was not really hungry. He just wanted to taste the Char. The waitress became more insistent that he could not order it, so he decided not to order anything at all. I ordered the halibut and Skyr dessert. The halibut was good, but nothing exceptional. The sauce was over salted, but still edible. The Skyr was wonderful and made the price of the entire meal worthwhile. I got try it for dinner and breakfast. The breakfast absolutely amazing!!!! But the dinner, If you like taste rich of everything this is the restaurant you can try but we don’t really like it that much. The taste is good but when you keep eating, the foods were too thick and rich. We got lamb steak and it just only comes with the lamb and sauce. Lamb is good tender and wine sauce paired perfectly with it but you have to order side dish separately and the price is too expensive. The salad is too plain not enough dressing but you can ask for more. The mushroom soup is too thick. Overall I would recommend just breakfast.
