Huge thank you to Veselka for catering food for our recent event! Everyone really enjoyed the food. Booking an order was easy and staff definitely was accommodating to any changes and modifications we requested. Delivery was effortless and on time, their delivery person was very helpful in getting everything set up and unwrapped. Thank you again!!!
This restaurant has been around for 100 years! So when you sit down and you want serious Ukrainian food this is where you go they are open 24 seven! So brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is from 9 AM to 4 PM that's reasonable brunch! We ordered the stuffed cabbage of course get the mushroom gravy you won't be disappointed. You must have pirogi filled with sauerkraut with some fresh horseradish and beet juice with sour cream on the side of course. Don't be deterred by the fact that there is a line waiting on the side of the building services fast the restaurant is big you can sit outside or inside outside of course is always fun because it's people watching and it is the East Village in New York City. Someone who has never been to this area of New York must visit! I worked in Manhattan a lot so 2nd Ave. and E. 9th St. is a very comfortable neighborhood for me. You will find Polish donuts you will find smoked sausages along with CBD shops .I know you'll be full lift you eat plates and plates of pierogies but do take home one of the black-and-white cookies that's in the front showcase. Of course you might need a coffee mug with the name of the restaurant as well as shirt it's all in good fun.
This meal was INCREDIBLE! I need to get back ASAP. We had the short rib pierogis, buffalo chicken pierogis, chicken cutlet, fries, and mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. I highly recommend Veselka!
