Vico’s Italian Restaurant in Norwood continues to be the kind of place that reminds you why dining out can feel special. Every visit ends the same way for us: walking to the car already talking about when we should come back. That is the sign of a truly consistent and great restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The background music is at the perfect volume, and conversation is easy. We started with the Caesar Salad with anchovies. It is an American menu classic with a surprising Italian twist. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, the croutons were crunchy and lightly seasoned, the anchovies were flavorful with just the right amount of brininess, and the shaved Parmigiano cheese was wonderful. The twist was the outstanding Parmigiano dressing, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. It was a refreshing variation that worked every bit as well as a terrific traditional Caesar dressing and was a welcome departure from the expected. The risotto special with scallops and mushrooms was divine. The flavors were exquisite and beautifully layered. The lobster ravioli was outstanding as well, generously filled and cooked to perfection. Portions are more than ample, and we happily brought home part of each entrée. We had no room for dessert, which says everything about how generous and satisfying the meal was. Chef Vincenzo clearly knows how to create plates of pure deliciousness, and his talent and passion for cooking shine through in every dish. Maria, his wife, is a hostess extraordinaire, the heart of the dining room, and I am sure wears many hats. Several of their children work at the restaurant, and you can see how much care and love this family puts into what they have built. They work incredibly hard, and that family pride shines through in every aspect of the restaurant. The service is warm and attentive. After discovering Vico’s more than six years ago, it has remained the only Italian restaurant we go to. Make a reservation and you will understand why from the first bite. My family and I have been going to Vico's for years, and it continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. The food is consistently excellent and, in my opinion, some of the best Italian food you'll find anywhere in the area.

What makes Vico's stand out is the people. Vinny is an incredible chef and always seems to find a moment to come out of the kitchen and say hello, which is a nice personal touch. Maria does a wonderful job hosting, and it's great to see their children (now adults!) helping out as servers. You can really tell it's a family business, and that warmth comes through in the entire experience.

The staff is always friendly and attentive, the wine selection is outstanding, and the desserts are impossible to pass up (my personal favorite is the homemade chocolate mousse!!). Vico's feels like the kind of place where you're treated like a regular, even if it's your first visit. Looking forward to many more dinners there.

10 stars! Vico Ristorante Italiano is a true gem in Norwood, offering an authentic Italian dining experience that will transport you straight to Italy. From the moment you step inside, you'll be greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The food at Vico is simply outstanding. We started our meal with the portabella mushroom appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we opted for the lasagna and the risotto with seafood. The lasagna was hands down the best I've ever had. It was rich, cheesy, and cooked to perfection. The risotto with seafood was equally impressive, with fresh, flavorful seafood and a creamy, perfectly cooked risotto. The service at Vico is also top-notch. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Overall, I highly recommend Vico Ristorante Italiano to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Norwood. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. You won't be disappointed! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
