UPDATE: It is abundantly obvious to me that the management/ owners are NOT paying attention to the waitstaff. The service is terrible now.  We went in with a party of 8 without reservations. We were very early, and it was a weekday,  so we didn't really feel it would be a big deal.  When we walked in, nobody paid attention to us.  Finally, a woman approached us without even saying hello, nor smiling.  She angrily said, "Do you have reservations???" We told her that we didn't, and she was clearly really angry.  Then, she pushed together two tables which clearly would not accommodate 8 people, she walked over to an employee sho was sitting at a larger arrangement and told her that she was sorry for inconveniencing her (the employee) for asking her to get up.  I asked the kind man behind the bar what was wrong with this waitress, and why was she so rude. He apologized and said, "Oh, she's always like that; she's always very unhappy."  Then, when we sat down, we waited TWENTY MINUTES to be greeted and it was only because I asked the guy behind the bar what was going on!  The 2nd waitress was just a bit better,  although she was upset about bringing us water. The FOOD: It is good. I had the Omega, and it was fresh, and delicious.  However, the prices are too high in comparison to what you get. I think the chicken portion was around 2.5 ounces. ATMOSPHERE: I like the muted lighting, but the furniture is not very comfortable. Alas, I did tip the waitress 20% because I felt sorry for her, and I am hoping that she learns to meditate; life is good honey- no need to work at a job you hate!  Life is too short! I hope the owner can turn this around!
I love this place for lunch. The salads are huge so my husband and I were able to split the arugula and duck (especially after our smoothie at Modern General Feed & Seed next door) and it was delicious. Just the right amount of dressing, the duck was cooked to perfection. You could say that it's a little bit on the pricey side if you're not splitting something but the portion size makes up for that in my opinion.
This is a fabulous little restaurant in Santa Fe with amazing fresh salads that will blow you away! Super healthy, innovative and fresh combos and a wonderful menu with something for everyone. My husband not a salad guy and he had the beef stew and said it was out of this world. If you're looking for a quaint little off the beaten path lunch spot look no further. Vinaigrette is your place!
