I visited around 1pm on March 19th and enjoyed the taste and service. It was a pleasant experience overall. I ordered saffron pasta and duck pasta. Both had the typical texture of boiled Italian noodles, the saffron was thick and fragrant, and the duck pasta had a Korean flavor, like mixing it with soybean paste. However, since both dishes are salty for Korean tastes, we recommend asking for less salt or pairing them with strong wine. And the grand finale in this house was lamb steak. It was the most delicious meal I had during my two-week trip to Europe. The lamb had a great fat to meat ratio and was cooked to perfection. Vini e Vecchi Sapori came up in my research for our Florence holiday. We booked it once arrived and wow they did not disappoint. Love their daily menu and motto! We ordered Pappardelle with Duck sauce (BEST I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE), Paccheri w zucchini flower & safron (beautiful, balanced flavours, so moreish!), then beef stew in red wine & pepper, grilled lamb cutlets with potatoes. We finished off with the poached pear with cinnamon (one of my favourite desserts). Seriously, if you're in Florence, this is a must visit. The waiters are so charming and kind. They even rounded down our bill at the end - unheard of! I love the intimate setting of the place and so down to earth the owners are. I'll definitely come back again the next time I'm here.
