This restaurant is a right choice if you are in the mood for the Japanese cuisine. Try perfectly cooked kobe beef, foie gras and salmon at Wakuriya. Tasty ice cream, panna cotta and gâteau are the best dishes. Visit this place and have delicious plum wine. A lot of visitors mention that you can drink good matcha at this place.

I have known the owners for over 15 yrs since they were at Kaygetsu. Kaiseki meal is so delicious.
We came here 3 times in the past few years, we went to lots of Japanese fusion in the area, but we are more appreciated what Wakuriya offers to all clients in contains, food quality and services.
If we are talking strictly about the flavors and food, it's better than Kenzo, at a lower price point. Of course the atmosphere is not as posh as Kenzo but no less enjoyable. The owners provided a warm friendly feeling and the pacing of entree's served was perfect. The only con was the difficulty in reservations. I was told reservations were only accepted at midnight one month in advance. I had Amex concierge handle the reservations but it did take a bit of effort to finally get a reservation date.
