Absolutely a gem on the river in La Crosse, WI.  A great steak, superior service, & spectacular view. I'll be venturing here again.
Excellent Bloody Mary with local beer chaser!
Oh Waterfront, how disappointed we are with what seems to be new management. In years past, we could always count on a beautiful evening on the patio with great food and relaxing, enjoyable music. Well, not tonight. Let me first say that the service was impeccable. From our bartender Olivia, to our server Becca and even the busboy Achilles, they were all fantastic. That's what made our evening bearable. The food itself was marginal. Cheese curds were delicious but the Caesar salad with shrimp left much to be desired- the plating was so unappealing - whole leaves of romaine lettuce, a small pile of soggy shrimp off to the side and a teaspoon of olive tapenade. Meh. The pear Gorgonzola salad with salmon was just par. But again, this would have all been somewhat forgivable if not for the musical entertainment! Oh my goodness! Where did they find this guy or better yet, WHY did they book him?? The music of Paul Kaye made you feel like you were at the circus listening to an organ grinder...all that was missing was the monkey. Absolutely unbearable- this is THE Waterfront. You could tell everyone was a bit surprised as most of the tables were looking at each other and laughing. Please Libby W, get on your game and bring this place back to what Don made it.
