Really good american BBQ food. Recommended!
Good food. Big portion of fried chicken. Friendly and attentive service. On the expensive side (for Norway.) Coffee was old, had obviously been standing there a while.
If I was stuck on desert island and could only choose 3 things to take with me it would be water, my Netflix subscription and without a doubt the brisket at Way Down South in Oslo. It's not an exaggeration to say that I am a changed person after ordering the Family Pickins' at this epic new restaurant. Having had BBQ in Texas, I had no idea that a bunch of Aussie chefs living in Oslo could not only replicate the same Bbq quality from the South but they could do it better. A lot better! Everything on the menu is worthy of its own cult status (especially the brisket). But I feel it is my moral duty to highlight what could be the worlds greatest cornbread. By definition, cornbread is usually dry, flavorless and crumbly. But this luscious piece of heaven topped with whipped honey butter was a spiritual experience. I left my body and may have found my spirit animal and that animal may be (edit : definitely is) the cornbread at Way Down South . To wash it all down they have quality beer on tap and amazing experimental cocktails! Warning though, if you're looking for a buzz that might be a struggle with half a cow and 3 - 12 orders of life changing cornbread in your stomach ( just me?) To summarize. Start fasting for this all star restaurant , leave wherever you are and go and get "some south in ya mouth"!
