Solid food, excellent variety of wine. The wine is well-priced while the food might be a bit overpriced. You can definitely try a nice variety of different varietals and levels of wine here without breaking the bank. The food (local Franconian fare) was fine, but you might be paying for the high-end rustic ambiance more than the food itself. Service was professional and done with a bit of gravitas. The place seems to be very popular with locals of all ages; a reservation might be a good idea if you're coming.

Wonderful dinner.  I forget the German names of the dishes but we had a local roasted fish and pork medallions with asparagus (was in season) as a starter & a little wine. They do have there own winery.  Everything was tasty. The waiter gave good advise, was responsive and polite.  Würzburg is in Franconia so when I complemented that it was great German food, he said great Franconian food.  Learn something new everyday.
