We love this place. Food and drinks are always great, service is on point and the servers are friendly.More recently, our server has been Tori, and she is a delight.
Always a good time!! Olivia was amazing, and food was spectacular!! I always tell everyone to eat here.
Where to start... This quiet little place is such a gem!  My Wife and I went for what was planned to just be some wine and apps. After looking over the wine list we settled on a very nice red and then we were told that they were doing a very generous discount on that particular wine; SCORE! (I won't tell you which red but it was a great deal for this particular vineyard / bottle).   We sipped and moved to apps starting with the (local) deviled eggs and followed with (local) dry rub wings.  Both were amazing.  The atmosphere is along the lines of fine dining with a casual flare so it fits a wide audience. The menu was broad with enough selections for any taste. 1 bottle down, apps demolished and we moved on the the main course.   My wife had the blackened chicken over an orecchiette pasta and she said it was amazing (I'm a meat eater so I can't really elaborate more).  Earlier in the evening Chef Jeremy had wandered out and I asked him a bit about the menu and particularly about a few of the beef items. He recommended the filet (also locally procured) which came with an au'poivre (brown peppercorn) sauce, duck fat frites and grilled asparagus. I could go on in great detail but trust me when I tell you, this was hands down one of the best filet au'poivre ever!  The Tenderness, Chef nailed the temp and I found myself scraping every ounce of sauce.  I eat this type filet a lot in many places around the world but this one will be a favorite for a long time! I wanted to be brief and have already gone on too long but we would be remiss if we didn't mention the extremely high-level of service with a smile from Olivia, our waitress.  She struck the perfect balance of attentive and yet not overbearing and was well versed in all things West End.  The head honcho, Tori was like a General preparing for war and it was clear she managed the place with a strong sense of patron loyalty and leadership.  Lastly, after dinner we asked to speak to Chef Jeremy simply to tell him personally how much we enjoyed dinner.  We learned that he was classically trained under French mentors and it showed in the au'poivre.  He was very happy to hear our praise and it felt good to let him know what we thought. Ok, this is getting long... we ended up moving to the pub downstairs for a nightcap and this too was a really cool pub with stone and wood everywhere and we plan to go back and spend more time there. Oh, and Chef did a drive-by with a creme brûlée that was a perfect finish to the night! Bottom line, I take reviews serious and rarely take the time to post unless it was an experience. Thank you West End Wine Bar & Pub... we will see you soon!
