A date night for 2 lovely evening. But the table closest to bar needs to be thought about as service comes past alot. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £40–50 Parking space: Not sure Parking options: Parking is unavailable

We recently visited Westbourne Grill House for what should have been a really special evening, and unfortunately the experience was very mixed. To start on a positive note, my own meal was genuinely excellent. The food I had was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and exactly what you’d hope for from a steakhouse. The atmosphere of the place is also warm and inviting, with a cosy, rustic feel that makes it ideal for a relaxed evening out. However, the experience for my pregnant girlfriend was extremely disappointing and, at times, quite concerning. Her starter — halloumi fries — arrived with a hair in the dish, which immediately set the tone off in the wrong direction. While these things can occasionally happen, it understandably made her uneasy. The main issue came with her steak. As she is pregnant, she very clearly and specifically requested that her steak be cooked well done. Unfortunately, this request was not taken seriously. The steak was sent back multiple times — three in total — and each time it returned still visibly undercooked and closer to rare than well done. What made matters worse was the way it was handled. On one occasion, the steak appeared to have been cut in half, with only part of it further cooked, while the remaining portion was left undercooked on the plate. This is simply not acceptable, especially given the clear health considerations involved during pregnancy. While the staff did attempt to correct the issue, the repeated failures suggest a lack of attention to detail and understanding of how important such requests are. By the end of the meal, what should have been an enjoyable experience had turned into a frustrating and stressful one. In summary, while the restaurant clearly has the potential to deliver great food, our experience was overshadowed by poor quality control and a failure to properly accommodate an important dietary requirement. I would consider returning based on my own meal, but only with the hope that greater care and attention is given in the future. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: £40–50

Thank you JoshWe appreciate your detailed constructive feedback. I'm so sorry to hear that your family dinner wasn't up to our usual standard. I wish one of our senior team member would have made aware of the sensitivity of this particular order so we'd recommend Fish, Chicken or at least Beef Short Rib which cooked 8 hours but definitely not Steak.I'm glad yourself and rest of the family enjoyed their Steaks and Restaurant, hopefully in your next visit we'll manage to meet whole families expectations. I researched restaurants in Bournemouth for quite sometime and gave my son 5he choice to choose how disappointing the female were in deferent the steaks were OK but your accomplishments very dated and dull I spent £150 for four of us but really was not worth it you need to update what you do im very well travelled so no what to expect
