It’s a spoons, cheep and sometimes cheerful! Tables need a proper clean down as always sticky no matter what table you sit at!! Food mediocre but edible, always seems short staffed even when not busy! Can’t knock the prices though so you get what you paid for. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: £10–20

The Battesford Court is a large historic hotel that has been turned into a very good Wetherspoons. It's nice and cosy with exposed beams. There are two outside seating areas at the back of the pub. There was a good selection of cask conditioned real ales, and a good choice of cider all the cask ales we sampled were in excellent condition when we called. The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly even though the pub was busy when we called. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Empire State Burger, Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Breast Burger Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: There is a good choice of vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of options on the menu and the staff ask if you have any special requirements or allergies.
