Wood Street is a classy neighborhood corner pizza shop. It's not pretentious, it's clean, the pizza is great and everything else they have is too. With new weekly specials every single week, pizza and sandwiches, you can't get bored with their menu. You can tell that they're willing to experiment and take risks and for that, I commend them. They're open late and they're fairly priced. Dean, the owner, is also genuinely one of the coolest people I've ever met and is a gift to the neighborhood and community. They're also really big on their crust. If you think crust is the best part of the pizza this is the place to be. It is deliciously crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I love Wood Street Pizza and it has been my go-to pizza place for years since I moved to the neighborhood. Not only because the food is stellar, but because the people that work there make the experience that much better. Tried this place for the first time and unfortunately it wasn't such a good experience. I ordered a chicken Cheesesteak "plain" with only Cheese and chicken. They gave me one with onions. I took it back in and explained it had onions. The (I'm assuming owner or manager) asked for my receipt took it to the back had a new one made, this time it had pepper on it. (Again I ordered only chicken and cheese "only"). I ended up keeping it just because I was frustrated. The person that took the Cheesesteak back didn't even apologize and for the price of the food I thought it would be made the way I wanted it.

Also the owner replies to the bad reviews on Google being a bit rude with not one apology. This is bad for business, you'd think he'd want customers to return.
