Amazing guacamole and sangria. You can customize it!!
During covid they have outdoor separated seating- when we asked for a table for 4 they brought the table from inside to outside so we can be seated. Servers all wearing masks. For veggie option the veggie tacos were just okay but nice they have the non-meat option! Signature guacamole was an interesting starter- some sweet fruits but ultimately full of heat from the habanero Margaritas were the best part! Recommend the blood orange margarita! Not a place I could come back to twice
To be blunt, I was disappointed by my experience at Xochitl. A long wait after ordering (despite the restaurant not being busy), small portions, and an overpriced menu relative to the portion sizes marred what would've otherwise been an excellent experience. The food was tasty - I did like the chicken enchiladas for the bites they lasted - but I didn't leave Xochitl feeling satiated. I also had a bite of the cauliflower steak; I liked the flavors but there wasn't much substance (read: calories) there either. Each entrée was accompanied by about half a cup of cooked rice, which didn't really make up for how small the rest of the plate was. And lastly, the virgin mojito - I don't drink alcohol, so I love virgin drinks, but this one was especially acidic. I had to wait about 10 minutes for the ice to melt and water the drink down before it was even tolerable. If you're into tequila, perhaps Xochitl is for you, as the bar seems to be a big draw here. But if you're strictly looking for a satisfying meal, I'd consider some of the other establishments in the area.
