Had a lovely dinner here, excellent waitstaff who were attentive, extremely helpful and welcoming. Adorable ambience. Loved every minute here.
The main course (ribeye) and dessert (panna cotta) were the best I've had in some time. The owners should however think about getting higher quality wine options by the glass. The staff were very kind and friendly.
Heyyyy soooo this is my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam, and possibly one of my favorite restaurants of all time. First of all, I love the vibe of Zaza's. It is really small and cozy, and the waiters and incredibly attentive and knowledgable. They are also really nice. It feels more like I'm having an intimate dinner in a good friends house, and less like I'm eating at a stuffy, pretentious place. Second of all, the food. I mean obviously. I love how diverse the menu is, and for how small the restaurant is, there are actually a lot of options to choose from!! Before even ordering the appetizer, they always bring out a complimentary bite-size spoonful of some delicious goodness. They also bring out a platter of Turkish bread and dip. Come hungry, because you are going to want to try a lot of the appetizers. I would recommend ordering one app per person, that way you can try a lot of the different flavors and styles each dish presents. Then, the main course. You really can not go wrong, but I am a chicken girl, so I ordered the guinea fowl. Usually, I like to order wine at dinner, but I was feeling fancy and got a Moscow Mule. It was an awesome cocktail!! It was in one of those HUGE wine glasses that the Dutch serve G&T's in, and there was a generous amount of vodka in it. Finally, the prices really are not bad in relation to the overall experience you receive at Zaza's - the ambiance, the intimacy, the food and drinks, and the service all make this restaurant one of my tops.
