It's been a minute since I really sat down and appreciated a good omelette, but that's exactly what happened at Zum Schwarzen Kameel during a leisurely Sunday breakfast. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Zum Schwarzen Kameel almost feels like an upscale British hotel tea house given the starch shirted servers and the more quiet and measured atmosphere, but the service is very good and sets the stage for a comfortable meal regardless of the time of day. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? In retrospect, €10,50 seems like a lot for a ham omelette, but the hand cut bone in ham is the specialty here and it's not a different price point from what I'd pay elsewhere for a good breakfast dish. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I'm not sure I can even place how, but this was a really fantastic omelette. Fluffy and flavorful egg with chives that encased flavorful and salty ham. Additionally, the apricot spread here with their fresh bread is near impossible to beat. Two Stars.   Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? It's not that I wouldn't be excited to go back, but the one downfall that I haven't mentioned yet was that the menu for breakfast at Zum Schwarzen Kameel is a bit small, so if you're not an omelette person you might be out of luck. No Star.
