That’s the best restaurant I visited during my first meeting with Vienna in the weekend. The food is like art, fantastic and amazing. That’s perfect place to have a dinner, no noise, lots of space between tables. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant was just across the street from our hotel in Vienna and since it had a good reputation is was an obvious option for dinner one night. "Zum weißen Rauchfangkehrer" translates to 'The White Chimneysweep' and there is a nice story behind the name of this restaurant... It is said that a chimney sweep used to date a girl that worked in the bakers, (or maybe it was the bakers daughter), and they used to cuddle out the back of the bakers and hence the normally black with soot chimneysweep was turned white with flour from his antics in the bakery... This is how the restaurant got its name. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the waiter had a sense of humour. We were sat in the window seat right next to the restaurants main entrance and to be honest it was rather cold here as people kept coming in and the door took a while to close letting the freezing November wind in... So if dining here in Winter ask not to have the table by the door! The menu had lots of traditional 'regional' cuisine and the Leberkas (Sausage) and Erbsen-Selleriesuppe (Pea Soup) we had to start were both tasty. We then had the Pork Schnitzel for main which was again very good (€25.90). I had Appel Strudel for dessert which was again very good and my wife had a liquor coffee. All in all we enjoyed our meal very much and would recommend anyone to dine here if wanting Austrian cuisine. Our bill came to €126 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €60–70 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
