Came in here a couple weeks ago when my friend, who is a vegetarian, came to visit NYC. Seemed like a nice place, with clean tables and a smiling hostess. My friend had a vegetarian burger. Hemp I believe. It was still cold on the inside. So she didnt eat the rest. I had a green spaghetti dish. I wasn't a fan, overdone and bland, but then again I'm not a vegetarian and don't know the norm for vegetarian/vegan food. I'd think though, at the least, they could make dishes edible for those of us who are either branching out, or suffering a fellow vegetarian and eating there with them. Oh well. The thing that really annoyed me though was the cook in the back. Younger woman. I saw that there were police officers coming in for a call or to use the bathroom or something. They didn't interact with her but every time she went past them she threw her hands up dramatically and did the "hands up don't shoot" bit like it was her job. This happened 3 times so I knew it wasn't a misconception on my part. It made us feel uncomfortable, like we were in an antagonistic atmosphere. We just came there to eat. That's it. It was just unnecessary. I understand and agree that everyone is entitled to their opinions and free speech, but at your place of employment? Remember you're representing the company in everything you do/say. Maybe the management should focus more on their workers cooking and preparing food instead of making political statements at a restaurant.

Jean-Georges vegan fine dining haunt consistently delivers beautiful dishes with eastern inspired, crowd pleasing flavors. Dinner offers both a $115 tasting menu as well as à la carte. Service is notably good - but not fussy. The restaurant opened in 2017 and the interiors continue to perfectly reflect the shabby chic vibe of ABC Home next door - with considered lighting, whitewashed walls, pops of bright pinks, Asian antiques - and a huge window into the bustling kitchen. Bar seats are just as lovely as sitting at a table. ABCV is good spot to catch up with friends - lunch, brunch or dinner. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
