Calentita

Gibraltar's local national dish is a bread product similar to Italian Farinat. For cooking, chickpea flour, water, olive oil, salt and pepper are used. The word calentita comes from the Spanish caliente (warm, hot). It was probably first given this name at the beginning of the 20th century when street vendors shouted: “Calentita!” Informing people that the pastries are fresh, just from the oven.
