Rogoznica is a popular tourism village on the Dalmatian Coast, located in the cove between Split and Sibenik in Croatia. It is an island town that is connected with the mainland through the sea and bridges and is protected by rocky mountains from the strong winds of the Adriatic sea, making it one of the safest harbours in the country. Due to these factors, the village was primarily engaged in fishing and farming, but in modern times it has transformed into a picturesque tourist town with one of the most beautiful marinas – Marina Frapa, and a popular salt lake – Dragon’s Eye – the island’s main scenic attraction.

The Dragon’s Eye lake is a natural bioreactor with sediment that causes the lake to change color. This transformation signifies the awakening of the dragon as described by the locals and it is believed that taking a swim in the lake has natural health benefits. Marina Frapa is built on an artificial island with a total of 450 berths. It houses some of the best restaurants, a sports center, swimming pools, and nightclubs along its promenade. Here is our selected list of the best places to try local Dalmatian cuisine in Rogoznica on your next visit to Croatia.
