It’s a simple thing: just a biscuit with a cream filling. According to legend, its creator, James Alexander Duvar, worked on a farm that, among other things, produced cakes with strawberries. Dependence on the seasonal cycle - the bakery was operating at full capacity only during the harvest period - it prompted him to replace the strawberry stuffing with banana and hide it inside. So was born a golden Twinkie.
