Awesome place for lunch! My wife and I love coming here on dates and getting something different every time. Every meal has been top teir. I really enjoyed both these tortilla soup and corn soup as well. Excited for my next visit. After leaving the Whitte Museum, our kids were so hungry, and we searched for food around us. We happened to stumble across this little gem, and we are so happy we found it! Tucked back in a corner, Fonda Nostra is a quaint little bistro with a variety of food. We were greeted by Arturo, who was friendly and attentive. While here, we ordered the Nostra Burger, Cheeseburger, Nostra Chicken Sandwich, and the kids' bean and cheese tacos. The Nostra burger was stuffed with cream cheese, sliced onion, and full of flavor. The Nostra Chicken Sandwich was a chicken breast topped with avocado on a ciabatta bun. The French fries were crisp and topped with parmesan cheese, Arturo provided us with a jalapeño ranch that had the right amount of spice to it. For dessert, we ordered the churros. They were hot, crisp, dusted with cinnamon, and filled with delicious goodness. It's always hard to find a really good churro that is cooked to perfect, and these definitely were them. Fonda Nostra Bistro will be a family stop each time we come through San Antonio, Texas. This bistro is highly recommended for anyone looking for light, non-greasy food.
