Our son who stationed here at the Iwakuni base took us here for lunch. Seemed to be a place for most Americans, probably because of the proximity to the base. Mostly American food. Portions are small. Good is good. Sitting are mostly outdoor. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hands down, the berry berry smoothie was one of the best I’ve ever had — incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and full of real fruit. The bacon panini was also delicious and perfectly toasted. However, the pasta fell short, tasting a bit too much like ketchup. What really disappointed me, though, was being charged for something as basic as ketchup. My meal came with fries, so naturally, I asked for some to dip them in — only to be told there would be an extra charge. I’ve never been to another restaurant that charges for ketchup; BBQ sauce, maybe, but ketchup? That was definitely a first. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
