If you’re a fan of tacos, 2 Compas Kitchen should be at the top of your list. I’ve had the pleasure of tasting their pastor and birria tacos at both their Arlington and new downtown Dallas locations, and the experience has been consistently exceptional. The pastor tacos are a masterclass in flavor. The pork is marinated to perfection, offering a rich, savory taste with a hint of smokiness. I wanted to have tacos for lunch and was looking for a new place to try and chose this place. I ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and 2 tinga tacos (shredded chicken), beans, and rice. The barbacoa tacos were great! However, the tinga tacos were dry and didn’t have any flavor. The beans and rice also weren’t seasoned very well. The service was great as I was given what I asked for (extra salsa) without hesitation. At some establishments, you get attitude or a dirty look if you ask for extra anything. Due to the great service I received, I’ll be giving this place another try. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5
