Food: I loved my tagliatelle, it was creamy and flavoursome. Our table also really enjoyed the lamb and the fish dishes, although the squid ink pasta didn't seem to be the best. We also weren't blown away by the desserts which weren't very rich and decadent.
Service: 5 star service. The manager Des was very helpful and finely and she went out of her way to help us. The waitress was also friendly and attentive and she made out trip very pleasant.
Our three course lunch offered a choice of 2 dishes per course. Starters were a choice of a chilled hake & salmon terrine wrapped in pickled cucumber or truffle croquettes with spicy aioli. The terrine was light & delicate. The croquettes were reported to be cheesy.
For the entree, the choice was sirlion steak with potato bake and mushroom sauce or line fish with potato bake and seasonal greens. The fish was a tad dry as a result of bring overcooked. The potato bake was fair, but a little on the dry side too.
For dessert, the options were trio of fruit sorbet which were cheerful & brightly coloured or parfait with strawberries in a deep fried pastry nest topped with sliced olives. The parfait was creamy and a smooth finish to the meal.
