12/15/2023 Not our first time eating at the 20's Hideout Steakhouse. Like the other times, the food, the service and the atmosphere on point. When we arrived we were promptly seated. The server brought our drinks while we looked over the menu. We started with the Cement Shrooms for an appetizer, at that time we gave our order for the Private Eye Steak (Ribeye) with The Godfather Salad (Caesar salad) and Steak Fries. A small loaf of bread was brought to the table while we waited for the appetizer. The Cement Shrooms were delicious. They come with a horseradish sauce which my husband loves, I do not, the server was happy to bring me ranch dressing for mine. Our dinners arrived, the steaks were perfectly cooked, medium and medium rare. Both had a beautiful char on the outside. The seasoned butter was on the side, I used a little on my steak, it didn't need anything else. Great flavor and tender on its own. Our server came back a few minutes after we started eating to see how it was, he also checked on us several times during the meal to see if we needed anything. I won't say his name but ( Z ) was an outstanding server, a true gem. The prices may be a little higher, definitely worth it for the quality. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Our waiter was excellent, the food was outstanding, and presentation, oft ignored, was worthy of 5 stars. A true culinary experience!
