OK. Wait: 20 mins coffee, then 45 mins for simple wrap - not on regardless of how busy it is. Organise kitchen. Would have liked this place to be my new local but can't waste 1.5 hours of my Saturday

From amazing to bad. My previous few experiences with 39 Steps were amazing. Great culinary experience, excellent coffee. Went for breakfast today. Was surprised it was half empty, usually lucky to get a table without booking. Coffee was very average. I had an omelet. It was dreadful. Burnt and no flavour. Burnt toast with no butter. I think they have changed ownership for the worse. Staff weren't interested in my concern that I had been served a burnt omellet. Good times went bad for 39 steps!!!
