I recently purchased a Hot Wheels Toyota Supra that is supposed to retail for $6. However, I was charged $10 at a 7-Eleven location. After doing some research, I found that this isn’t an isolated incident—many 7-Eleven franchise owners are reportedly overpricing merchandise for their own profit. This kind of price gouging is not only unethical, but it also raises serious concerns about what other items might be unfairly marked up in their stores. If they’re willing to overcharge customers for something as small as a toy car, it’s hard to trust that they’re conducting the rest of their business honestly. I believe this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the 7-Eleven brand and deserves to be addressed.
