Being at 7-Eleven, degust nicely cooked pizza. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters serve delicious coffee. I stopped by the 7-Eleven on Key Biscayne the other day and honestly, the whole experience was pretty rough. I went to grab a drink and saw the Pineapple Fanta sticker on the machine. I had already tried the Mountain Dew Pineapple and wasn’t really feeling it, so I poured some Fanta on top — but instead of yellow, it came out red. The drink ended up being this weird half-red, half-yellow mix. I bought it anyway since I just wanted something cold. Then I thought I’d get a hot dog. Only one flavor was available because the others weren’t cooked. I went to grab a bun and the drawer said “fresh buns,” but they were stiff and old, like they’d been sitting there forever. Not even warm or anything. I ended up skipping the hot dog completely. But honestly, the drinks and buns weren’t even the main issue. Every time you go up to the register, no matter who’s working, the employees give you this annoyed look like you’re bothering them. I went in with a good attitude, smiling and being polite, but they just seem irritated by your presence. It’s a weird vibe. This is Key Biscayne — a fancy, wealthy area — yet this 7-Eleven feels exactly the same as any rundown one. For the prices they charge , you’d expect at least decent service and fresh products. Kinda disappointing.
