Ice cream was melted and refrozen and freezer burnt on top of that. Rude staff. Closes early.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Deceptive Pricing and Removal of Advertised Promotion at 7-Eleven I am writing to formally file a consumer complaint regarding deceptive pricing practices and unprofessional conduct at a 7-Eleven location in Washington State on Monday, December 15th at approximately 9:15 p.m. currently filling this out inside the store on camera. On that evening, I entered the store and observed an official 7-Eleven promotional sticker advertising a new deal: $12 for 12 (20 oz) Vitamin Water bottles. Based on this clearly posted promotion, I selected the product and brought it to the counter with the intent to purchase it at the advertised price. When I informed the cashier of the promotion, he went to look at the display, removed the promotional sticker, and then returned to the counter stating that the deal was not valid. He then laughed and asked me, “Where’s the proof?” I did not take a photograph of the promotion because I am a regular customer, I recognized the official 7-Eleven signage, and I did not expect the promotion to be removed or denied after the fact. Additionally, there was a separate posted promotion advertising $12 for 12 (1-liter) BodyArmor drinks, which I was not attempting to purchase. That promotional sticker was also removed at the same time. This conduct is unacceptable and misleading. Removing advertised pricing after a customer attempts to purchase an item, then demanding proof of signage that the employee themselves removed, appears to be a deliberate attempt to avoid honoring a posted promotion. I explained basic consumer rights regarding advertised pricing, but the employee showed no concern or willingness to address the issue. This store maintains constant camera surveillance, and employees are reportedly quick to involve law enforcement over minor matters involving customers. Given that level of monitoring, I believe the store should be equally accountable when it comes to honoring advertised prices and treating customers fairly. I am concerned that this is not an isolated incident and that customers are being routinely misled or overcharged. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated, that the store be held accountable for deceptive advertising practices, and that appropriate corrective action be taken to ensure consumers are protected and advertised promotions are honored. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I intend to continue pursuing this issue until it is properly addressed.
