8cho is a restaurant located on the street, about 800 meters west of the Herradura Entrance in Jacó. Popular for solo dining and catering to groups and tourists alike, this establishment offers a range of quick bites in a casual, cozy, and trendy atmosphere. The venue is family-friendly, designed to accommodate children comfortably. Payments are convenient with both credit and debit cards being accepted, and there is free of charge street parking available for your visit.

Recent visitor feedback varies significantly, suggesting some inconsistencies in customer experiences. One group found their service less than satisfactory, citing slow drink service and unpalatable food, such as beef fajitas and edamame that failed to impress. However, another visitor mentioned they enjoyed hanging out, ordering rounds of food and drinks while watching a game, appreciating the service and beverages. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not provide operating hours, adding an element of uncertainty to planning visits, and has a reputation for being on the expensive side.

In terms of amenities, patrons will find basic facilities like restrooms. Keep in mind that while some aspects, like the trendy atmosphere, attract specific crowds, recent reviews offer mixed impressions. There is a noticeable absence of current information directly from the owner, which could be essential in assessing whether recent changes or improvements have been made. When considering 8cho for your dining plans, weigh these factors carefully and perhaps proceed with lower expectations based on the available reviews.

Slow service, poor quality drinks, and food is ok but expensive. Fish tacos good. Very flexible staff for dietary needs

Last night we went to have dinner at Ocho with a group of 10—6 adults and 4 children and unfortunately, everything went wrong from the beginning. It took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks. We asked for water multiple times, and no one brought it until we insisted several times. It took over an hour to get our food. The beef fajitas were tough, flavorless, and cold. The burger was the same, and the edamame lacked seasoning, were undercooked, and also cold. The white wine was served at almost room temperature. I asked them to please change it, and after 15 minutes they brought it back even warmer. It was a total disappointment, we won’t be returning. Oh, and the service? No smiles, no enthusiasm, and they practically threw the plates on the table. We had to ask several times for the table to be cleared, and they didn’t help us keep it tidy, so everything just piled up Price per person: ₡20,000+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
