My husband and I come here all the time we crave KBBQ or want the lunch specials. We love the atmosphere, since it’s not crazy loud like other places and can’t hear each other speak. We have also brought my in-laws here several times. My in-laws are older and very traditional Koreans so they expect good quality meat and great service, and this place has always been up to par. We love being served by Milagro (Mila) and Carlos. They are our go to as they are always attentive and constantly replenish our banchan. I don’t mind flipping our meat here and there, as we get the service industry is demanding. We have never had to worry about our food burning as we have Mila or Carlos always keeping an eye, and we also help in case they are helping others. However, this is not something we have to worry about much because our servers are great! We love it here and will continue to come here! I've heard mixed things about 9292 Korean BBQ; it's either people's favorite or that it doesn't compare to the other KBBQ in the area. I think you do get a different experience at 9292 compared to other competitors (Oegadgib, Kogiya, etc.) in Annandale since you get a large variety of banchan, salad, and if you get the KBBQ, you also get ingredients to cook gyeran (steamed egg), corn cheese, beansprouts, and mushrooms around the grill while the meat is cooking. It's super easy to forget these, so make sure you remember them before they start burning, lol. The steep pricing for AYCE definitely covers all of the extra food you get. So if you're somebody who loves more than just the meat, 9292 will give you much more than meat. My personal favorites were the peanuts, salad, and the super fluffy gyeran (only if you don't forget about it and let it burn). Overall, I was more impressed by the side dishes than the meats itself. Also, this place is friendly for big groups (there were 13 of us, so we split into a big table and a smaller table next to one another). UNLIMITED 9292 B - 37.99 My friends and I wanted the chadol (prime beef brisket) and hand rub seasoned steak which is why we we got option B over option A. To be honest, the chadol was a bit of a let down in terms of the quality. I shared a grill with three others and we ended up getting two orders of the chadol anyway since we are paying more money for this AYCE option. I thought the samgyupsal (pork belly) was way too fatty, but the taste was quite good. Our favorites were the hand rub seasoned steak since it was so tender and juicy (the cuts were the perfect 1 inch cube) and went well the sesame oil and salt dip. We also tried the seasoned pork short rib, but I felt like that fell short in terms of marinate and quality so it was my least favorite. The sauces weren't too great. I felt like sesame oil and salt didn't have enough salt and the ssamjang was just OK. Since AYCE includes an 18% gratuity charge, our total was about $50 per person after tax. Pretty expensive for what it was, and I probably won't do the AYCE here again. I liked that the servers changed the grills after every time we cooked a meat. They were pretty attentive. Also, they will ask the table if you want rice but they don't tell you that each bowl of rice is $1.50. Rice here is not free. Fortunately, my server took $1.50 off my bill since I didn't touch my rice, which was very nice of him.
