9th Street Coffee Roasters "Simple, light-filled coffee shop featuring both hot & iced specialty coffees, plus sweet treats." Good morning, Riyadh, Congratulations Saudi Arabia confirmed as 2034 World Cup host: FIFA. I arrive at 9th Street Coffee Roasters at 6 AM. Thursday,12th December 2024. After a brief chat with the expert barista, Mr. Indesh Jimee from Nepal with over 3 years experience I have the go-ahead to take pictures and videos for my review. The Café is bright with lots of natural light and has nice seating. The aesthetic design and colors are reminiscent of modern elegance combined with a traditional touch. The espresso brewed with Ethiopia GUJI coffee beans with a cup flavor profile of strawberry and mango and has a rich crema with a full-bodied medium-roast and a hint of bittersweet taste. My rating is 9 out of 10. The hot drip coffee V60, brewed by hand skillfully by Mr. Indesh, with Ethiopia ADADO coffee beans, a nice syrupy volume, and a cup flavor profile of floral and fruit sweetness, jasmine, peach, and guava, the medium-roast giving it a nice feel. My rating is 10 out of 10. The flat white prepared with Blend Street Colors (a premium blend of coffee beans from Burundi and Brazil). The first sip defines the taste and flavor, and if it stays true till the last sip, then my rating is a perfect 10 out of 10. (The roast was perfect, the skills of barista, ratio of espresso to latter spot on ... hmmm...oh yum! oh wow!). The milk chocolate, paired with the espresso, had a well-balanced sweetness. My rating is 9 out of 10. The Mille-Nutella nice crispy layers of wafers and nutella served with drip coffee V60 enhanced the flavors and taste beautifully my rating is 9 out of 10. The savory cheddar cheese croissant (out of line bakery) was soft, fresh, fluffy, warm, and with sumptuous taste and flavor. My rating is 9 out of 10. Overall rating is 9 out of 10. An unforgettable and memorable experience of my food journey in search of the best cafés, bakeries, and restaurants. Fun fact: The world’s first coffee house opened in Turkey in 1475. The first known coffee house was established in 1475 in Istanbul, Turkey. The coffee house, known as “Kiva Han,” served a wide variety of coffee drinks that had been brought to the city by traders from Yemen, Ethiopia, and other parts of the world. Another fun coffee fact: Coffee houses have always been about more than just the coffee! Kiva Han also featured a variety of other activities and became known as a place where intellectuals, politicians, poets, writers, and philosophers were able to discuss news and ideas, write, share stories and debate. This type of coffee culture still exists today, with coffee shops still serving as a popular gathering place where people can come together to share a drink and conversation.
