This is a great restaurant. The service is excellent, and the waitress speaks both English and Japanese. The curry would be even better if it were a bit spicier. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the many different Indian restaurants here in Chatan, A-Danny shines the most with their Lunch Buffet special! For a total of ¥1300, you can get as much curry as you want from the 5 different flavors they have available that day, unlimited rice, unlimited soup, and most importantly, unlimited Naan! They do caution you though on the menu--if you get the Buffett and don't finish all of your curry and Naan, they will charge you for wasting the food. The curries at the buffet are nearly all the same general base flavor profile and texture--they are all light and creamy. From there, each one is slightly changed but they are all incredibly creamy and smooth. The buffet curries have no spices added to them, but your table will have the 7-spice shakers or you can ask for some chili oil as well to increase the heat. The butter chicken was naturally sweet, with a mild flavoring that was warm and comforting. It had a strong cumin flavoring that was the centerpiece of the flavor profile. The Spinach and Potato curry had a strong spinach flavoring to it, with the potatoes being very tender small cubed pieces. It reminded me a bit of "creamed spinach", but had a strong aromatic flavoring and a good flavor profile. Their White Fish and Potato curry used the basic cream stock and had a sweet but mild flavoring to it. The fish pieces and potatoes were both very tender. Their Dal (Lentil) curry was slightly thicker than all the other curries, and had a pronounced earthy and almost "nutty" flavor to it due to the Lentils. It was much more hardy, less sweet, but had a very nice bite to it. The final curry of the day was an Okra and Keema Curry. It had a nice mouthfeel--the Keema (fine ground beef) was pebbly and the Okra was tender with a nice soft acidic flavor to balance out the curry. Again, all these curries were very creamy and had no heat to them, but you could adjust the heat at your own table. The Naan was large, soft, and had a medium chew to it. It was definitely more bready than airy, which was nice to be able to constantly dip the curry into! It held up incredibly well with the Curry, and you could adjust your amount of Naan from full size portions to half-portions, if you felt you were getting a bit full. The Onion soup they had was a very simple straightforward Onion soup--a good palate cleanser and quite tasty in its simplicity. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice--the inside is much bigger than it appears from the outside, and they have a nice wide open space to house many separate private tables and booths, while having easy access to the Buffet during lunch. There atmosphere is nice--it feels like a well-loved establishment and it has a cozy air about it. Overall, if you're looking for a lunch buffet, you cannot beat A-Danny for it! The food is delicious, the portions are large and endless, and you cannot beat that good of a deal for all-you-can-eat Indian curry!
