I found my place, and it is 10 steps from the door to my apartment where we are staying in Rome for a week. The vibe is totally chill, the morning is all about coffee and afternoon and evening is about more coffee and perhaps wine and a beverage and people very friendly coming and going for their day Four outdoor tables, 2 indoor tables. each morning, I see new dogs and new people strolling back-and-forth back-and-forth Pigneto neighborhood is very different from center Rome and perfect for me and my small family. We are two 60 yr moms and two 22 yr daughters. Yesterday we walked for five hours all over the neighborhoods, finding ruins and museums and a fantastic lunch.No crowds. There is construction, I think the subway line is being updated out here, and there are buildings being improved. we have patience for that. I don’t know what it’s like to stay in the center of Rome, but out here the mornings are quiet and families walking by and yeah, I think it’s perfect.
