Great service and super fast food. They have a cart for dumplings and deserts on demand. During lunch time, dumplings are $5 and there's a selection of other great eats for $5. The lunch specials are a plate of chosen mains with rice. I pretty much end enjoyed everything have, except the noodles. Still haven't found noodles I like. They don't offer tap water, only bottled. I also opt on their hot tea for $1.50 instead of a 12oz of water. Worth going to. Not the best I've had, but the best around.

Every Christmas Day, my friends and I have a tradition of going to Chinatown for Dim Sum.  This year we didn't go, so I thought we could get together with the friends, and do something more local.  I picked A & W BBQ Seafood Restaurant in Granada Hills.  The 5 of us went for Dim Sum on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022. The 4 of us got seated right away, because it was right at opening time.  We were waiting on 1 of the friends to show up, while looking over the Dim Sum menu.  As soon as we sat down, a server came over and asked us, if we were ordering from the regular menu or the Dim Sum menu.  We told her the Dim Sum menu.  Then we were asking to get some ice water, and she told us they didn't have any.  All of us were really confused, not knowing why we weren't served water.  My friend asked, not even tap water?  She said, no.  Then he asked, then how do you do the dishes, if you don't have any tap water?  She didn't respond.  It seemed very unheard of to us, not being offered water while dining at a restaurant.  So then she proceded to say, they only have bottled water for sale, without telling us how much.  We didn't bother to ask, and ended up ordering a pot of hot tea instead. Then another lady came over with the cart, and started asking us what we wanted.  We told her we weren't ready, because we were still waiting for our friend to show up.  Then when it was finally time to order, we noticed some of the things we wanted on the menu weren't available, like the scallops.  There were other items on the menu that were only offered on the weekends, so we lost out. So, we ordered the first round of food, which is shown in the photo.  Then a short time after that, a lady with the cart came back asking us what else we wanted.  I felt a bit rushed, because we didn't eat all of the food from the first round.  We waited to order the second round of food.  Then by the time we got the second round of food, we were commenting to each other what we thought of the food so far.  Some of the food was just OK, some was pretty good, and we didn't care for the garlic spare ribs, because they were too fatty.  In the second round of food, we ordered the Sesame Ball, Baked BBQ Pork Bun, and BBQ Pork Bun, which we thought were good. Then before we got to finish eating the second round, a lady came over with the dessert cart, asking if we wanted something from it.  We told her no, because we still wanted to get some more Dim Sum.  Again I was feeling rushed.  So while we were eating, a lady came over and asked us if we wanted anything else, because she was wanting to tally the bill already.  We asked for 1 bottle of water (Kirkland brand), more hot tea, and a couple more items.  Then we were starting to finish up, so she took the paperwork to go make us a bill.  My friend was looking over the bill, and he noticed that the added in a 15% Service Charge, without making us aware of it at the beginning. So, overall I would say, my experience was not that great, for sure food wise and service wise, and the communication was lacking as well.  That's too bad, because I love Dim Sum, and was feeling a bit let down with everything.  So, sorry to say, most likely I wouldn't go back there any time soon.
