Both Taiso-ji Temple and ALAMAS CAFE are recommended for visiting. It's a pleasant experience to order perfectly cooked soup, green curry and fried chicken. Here you may have good coffee.
The high ratings of this bar would be impossible without the courteous staff. Nice service is something that guests note in their reviews. You will certainly appreciate the lovely atmosphere and fine decor. Google users assigned the rating of 4.4 to ALAMAS CAFE.

We walked into the bar to check out the atmosphere, music, and see if they had a free table. We hadn’t been inside for more than 5 seconds before we were approached by a waiter who handed us a menu. Since we hadn’t decided yet my friend politely declined for the time being. The man called what I supposed to be the manager, who then stood between us and the door as he demanded we buy two drinks. I was genuinely concerned. He insisted on being aggressive verbally and physically blocked the door the whole time. We hadnt used the bathrooms or sat down at all, simply were checking the bar out to decide whether to stay there for a while or not, yet he would not let us leave. We were both baffled. I am appalled that a place that should be a gathering for a community showed this level of aggression towards two visitors. If it was racism or some assumption I am disgusted by the crude approach taken rather than communicating their concerns. Never in my life have I met a staff this rude and never, in Tokyo or outside, has any bar shown this level of arrogance in blatantly harassing a customer. I rarely write negative reviews but I felt the need to in response to how we were treated. Food: 1 Service: 1

We sincerely apologize for causing you such discomfort and distress during your recent visit to ALAMAS CAFE.We take your feedback seriously and have shared it with our entire staff. The staff interaction you experienced was entirely unacceptable and deviates significantly from our brand values, service standards, and commitment to fostering a positive community, for which we are truly sorry. To address recent issues with unauthorized bathroom use and non-ordering guests, we temporarily increased our interactions, but we deeply regret that this led to an oversensitive response, causing you any discomfort. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable space for all guests. We are taking this issue seriously and will reinforce staff training and service improvement measures. We prioritize customer understanding and courteous communication and will strive to improve our services. We sincerely hope you will give us another chance in the future.

Alamas Café ranks among the best cafés of Tokyo and is my favorite place to enjoy a drink with friends and my favorite place in Tokyo period.Alamas is located in the gay area of Shinjuku. It stands as one of the pillars of the gay community and, along with Aisotope Lounge, organizes most of the events that take place in Shinjuku Nichōme. They also host a weekly radio show and live dj sets. The atmosphere is really different whether you go on a regular weekday or an event night, but it's always fun. They frequently have drag queen hostesses as wells as djs. The friendly owner is working everyday, cooking and preparing cocktails behind the counter and they're always in for a drink! The café has a large variety of cocktails and also offers food. Their menu features both classics such as the Alamas Burger, curry rice, green curry, pho or fried chicken, as well as a monthly selection. The food is always delicious and surprisingly cheap.Alamas Café is my recommendation. It's not just a gay bar, it's not just another café restaurant either. It's a lot of both. If you go there, I'm sure you'll understand what makes it so special.
