A sweet little restaurant with excellent food. Not the usual portuguese folklore, but a modern cuisine with roots in the portuguese kitchen. A short menu, but well selected so everybody should find his favorite. The lemon cake is a must to make a great evening perfect. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–45

Wow what a find! An utter delight, the food was tasty, masterfully cooked! The decor is beautifully considered and full of fascinating crafty touches. It’s hard to know where to start when expressing how much we enjoyed our experience at ALMA14. From the moment we arrived and met Marta, we fell in love with the place. The love and kindness that Marta and her husband put into the restaurant radiates through both the atmosphere and the food they create. The décor and atmosphere are beautiful, and Marta was so lovely to chat with. We ordered the famous pork cheeks and the chickpea cakes, and we were not disappointed, both dishes were astonishing. They were accompanied by delicious traditional vegetables, along with a piece of fried polenta and potatoes. We had some local white wine which was beautiful and paired perfectly. We also tried the amazing lime cheesecake, which had come highly recommended, and it was absolutely mouth-watering. This was honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. We can’t praise Marta and her husband enough for what they’re doing with ALMA14, and we can’t wait to come back. xxx. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
