If you happen to be around Shiseido Gallery, visit this bar. The gracious staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. The calm atmosphere meets you at ALP (Arupu). This place is ranked 4.5 within the Google grading system.

When I die, I hope heaven looks a lot like this bar, because I could happily spend eternity in ALP. My wife and I went here last night and had a wonderful time. Incredible atmosphere, wonderful staff...it was an unforgettable evening for us. Sadly, the bar closes this December, and the world will be a bit worse off without it. Did I mention I liked the bar? Very poor experience. I work in the whisky industry and came here this evening as was recommended by a colleague. I was very excited to try. It's a beautiful bar, in a discrete location. We are not Japanese and before we entered we were asked if we spoke Japanese. We have been travelling Japan for two weeks and this was all very normal. When we entered we were ushered upstairs out of the way to sit by ourselves and showed a board in English indicating there is a 2,000 yen per person cover charge that includes a starter. This is 4x higher than anywhere else we have been but we were very excited about the bar so said yes. We ordered two whisky's we were interested to try and then provided with our 20k yen appetizer. It consisted of 6 nuts, 4 miniature crackers, a chocolate and 2 pieces of orange peel. It was pitiful. When we left we came downstairs to listen to the staff and regulars mocking another customer who had come in and ordered a lemon tea. We were charged 12,700 yen for the two drinks and then mocked ourselves. 'Did you enjoy it. Upstairs?'. The worst hospitality we have seen in Japan. I appreciate some bars do not want tourists. We respect that and have not been to them. But to be mocked for having an experience we were much looking forward to, rather upsetting. Price per person: ¥6,000–7,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
