Cozy, quiet atmosphere with quaint decor and classic jazz playing softly. Ordered sandwich drink set, which was just over ¥1000. The tamago sandwich tasted great. The bread is toasted and buttered, and there was a little whole grain mustard inside. It comes with salad that was lightly dressed and had thin prosciutto slices in it. The quantity was a little more than I normally eat, but I enjoyed it so I tried to eat it all. I was very thirsty on a hot day, so of course any drink will taste good in that state, but I appreciated that the tea was not over- or under-steeped. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

Came to this cafe after school with a classmate. Very popular spot for Doshisha University students as it’s very close to campus. Very cozy, unassuming spot with delicious and affordable food. We arrived right before closing but the owner was kind and let us eat. There were no other customers in the cafe so it was very quiet and easy to talk. The menu items were all reasonably priced. I got the ham and cheese sandwich with orange juice. This was one of the best ham and cheese sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The side salad was delicious as well. The portion size was perfect and I felt full after the meal. Overall, a really great spot for an affordable lunch if you’re in the area. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
