As other eaters have mentioned, great food. But what makes us grateful is that the chef team got a handwritten English menu for us impromptu, was very considerate with our broken Japanese, and tried to make sure that we can experience this dinner to the fullest. Which is something I value more than the food quality actually.

Guy came outside of this (closed) restaurant at 3pm on a quiet weekday to tell me I couldn’t eat my pastry on the street. And stand over me til I left. There was literally nobody around and it’s a pastry so mean

We recently dined at Armonico and while the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation and being seated in a private room, the waitress displayed poor manners and an unwelcoming attitude, especially towards us as foreigners. At one point, we briefly turned on our home CCTV for no more than 15 seconds, in a low voice obviously, yet the waitress rudely commented that we were being "too loud." This was surprising, especially since the group of Japanese diners outside were chatting so loudly it felt like a wet market. The double standard was hard to ignore – it felt like clear discrimination!!! While the food was good, the negative attitude and discriminatory service made the experience far from pleasant.
