First time at Avvio tonight and everything we had was delicious, fresh, and great quality. Even after coming home, my husband and I felt we had a really good meal, hence I'm writing this review. Nice selection of appetizers, sides, entrees, and dessert. The cold calamari was great, tasty, low fat dish, with fresh/quality ingredients. We loved our spinach egg drop soup! Then my husband and the veal with prosciutto and I had the shrimp della casa, which I really liked. The light sauce was perfectly balanced with a lot of great flavors and it worked well with the medley of vegetables. I would definitely order it again. Then instead of only carb options, we were able to get green beans instead, which is awesome for us, since that's one of our fears of going to an Italian restaurant, we would get overloaded with carbs. For dessert we choose the limon sorbet that came in a lemon, and it was just the perfect finishing touch to our meal. We plan to go back again for sure! The food was absolutely incredible, as was the service. They need to clean the bar stand/cart thing in the southwest corner of the restaurant because it smelled awful, like stale alcohol and musty. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
