I have no words other than it was absolutely gorgeous. The pizza I ordered was stunning and I was savouring every single bite and wedges with the garlic mayo was also amazing. WILL BE ORDERING AGAIN AND STAFF WERE LOVELY Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ventured into R Plaice, which also operates as Absolute Pizza. The exterior looks fresh, and they have an overall 5 food hygiene rating, which is always a good sign and shows real pride in keeping the kitchen, counter, and floor areas to a high standard. We ordered chips, cod, sausages, and gravy. After reading some of the reviews, I wasn’t expecting much—but I was genuinely surprised. The quality was excellent. They clearly make their own batter, which was light, crispy, and not greasy at all. Portions are generous, with no shortage of chips, and the sausages were proper butcher-style quality. The gravy was Chinese-style: thick, rich, and perfect for dipping. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable compared to many other places.
